Melissa has almost 20 years of experience working as a clinical professional in the field of mental health serving children, adolescents, and families within a trauma-informed lens. She earned her Bachelor’s in English from the University of Delaware and a Master’s degree in Dance/Movement Therapy at Drexel University in 2003.
Melissa previously served as a Board Certified D/MT and Mental Health Clinician in Partial Hospital Programs both in Jersey City and Elizabeth, NJ, and has also worked in and supervised programs within residential, hospital, and community agencies around northern NJ. Melissa is a 500 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher and an Adjunct Faculty at Kean University teaching Yoga. She has always used movement, dance, mindfulness, and yoga to facilitate healing and will fiercely advocate for everyone to have access to these tools. Melissa loves spending time outdoors and in joyful song and dance with her husband, stepdaughter, and new baby girl.
