PARTNER WITH COLLEGE STEPS

enhance the traditional model of college-based academic and disability support services with our innovative partnership

College Steps is expanding its college partnership network and is currently accepting applications for new college partners for fall 2022. College Steps partners with colleges and universities to provide integrated on-campus support for students living with learning, communication, and social challenges.

these are our requirements:

  • Offer an open and inclusive learning environment supporting learners of all types

  • Provide a dedicated point of contact to support the launch and sustainability of the partnership

  • Ability to offer an on-campus office for the College Steps Program Coordinator to reside five days per week 8 am - 6 pm

  • Commitment to open communication and collaboration with College Steps staff

  • Allow for College Steps trained peer mentors within the classroom as a non-academic accommodation upon request /approval

  • Support the growth of the partnership via the use of college or university marketing channels

Applications are due no later than June 30th, 2021 for the academic year 2021/2022

we ask that you also upload letters of support from the Admissions and Disability Services departments in the submission.

Peer mentors support College Steps’ students as they navigate the college’s social network and skills necessary to live independently. These are paid on-campus positions. College Steps has paid over $2M in wages to the peer mentors since 2012.
