Transition Programming

TRANSITION

Our TRANSITION programming offers access up to twenty (20) hours per week. This includes a weekly path and planning session with the Program Coordinator, a Community group that for example focuses on time management, social thinking, or campus exploration, Social Activity groups, study groups, and personal mentor support.

Our TRANSITION* programming offers access up to twenty-seven plus (27.5) hours per week. This programming includes all traditional TRANSITION offerings but is only available at American International College (AIC) in Springfield, MA, and Kean University in Union, NJ.

$28,300 for the instructional year at aic (2023-2024 ACADEMIC YEAR RATE)

$24,225 for the instructional year at kean university (2023-2024 ACADEMIC YEAR RATE)

Here is a sample schedule for TRANSITION programming:

Path & Planning - Weekly planning preparation

Community - We offer the following sessions covering: Social Thinking & Communication/campus exploration, Anxiety & Stress Management, Time Management & Organization, Budgeting & Finance, and Pre-Employment Training

Mentor Support - Students will have one-on-one mentor support such as social activities, social coaching, conversation practice, and anxiety management. With permission, in-class support as we return to campus

Social Activity - We offer group sessions to promote social opportunities like Anime clubs, Chat Packs, D&D clubs, and Gaming groups

Study and Academic Support - Semi-independent time to complete homework or other tasks, with mentors and other students available for support whenever you need it.
