Sarah Boyd is a new peer mentor at Norwalk Community College (NCC) for the Fall 2019 semester. Sarah is a sophomore at NCC and is currently working on her General Studies Degree. Sarah previously worked for the Student Accessibility Services Office at NCC where she met many of the College Steps students and their peer mentors.
She quickly learned that she wanted to be a part of the peer mentor program after learning about College Steps. Sarah is a wonderful addition and we are happy to have her as a part of our team at NCC!
When asked what her favorite part about being a mentor was, she replied, "My favorite part about being a peer mentor is translating the skills I use to support the students into my own academic success. Staying organized and on top of my work is so important and it's something that I've gotten better at through my time as a peer mentor."
