Living for Giving - County College of Morris!

We recently received this great email from our Program Coordinator, Nancy at CCM. This is our first year at County College of Morris and we are very proud of this program and our students.

“Hi all!

As the first year of programming in NJ draws to a close I wanted to share some of the JOY we have brewing over here at CCM!  I also want to thank all of you on behalf of everyone over here in the Garden State.  Without your support through the year, none of this would be possible.  A big part of this joy is due to you even if you don't get to witness it everyday!  THANK YOU!!

Attached please find a lovely article one of our CCM students, Andres Ortiz, wrote in the CCM newspaper about his personal experience with College Steps.  He volunteered to write it and his mentors supported him in investigating how to make a submission and with the editing process.  The editor of the newspaper was so impressed by his story she placed it front page, above the fold!

Additionally our students have been busy planning their Living for Giving Campaign and decided to do a Pizza for Pups Fundraiser for the Seeing Eye of Morristown.  Please see the link below to read in their own words why they decided to start this campaign. They have already raised $80.00 of their $90.00 goal through their web page and marketing alone!  They will also sell pizza to the campus community on May 6th to bring in more funds.  100% of the campaign was organized and carried out by students!

As parents share with me on the regular: "This would not be possible without College Steps!"  Thank you so much for all the magic you do behind the scenes to make all of these opportunities possible for our students.

Have a great weekend!!
