Ramses Garcia-Torres has been a mentor for College Steps since August of 2023. He is currently pursuing his associate degree in mathematics at County College of Morris (CCM). Rames is a dedicated mentor who comes to every session with positive energy and seeks ways to connect with each student. Beyond that, he stands out by constantly challenging himself to grow new skills. Rames came to College Steps without previous experience working as a mentor, but promptly took advantage of every resource and training offered. He has blossomed into a confident presenter and generously shares lessons from his own personal school journey with the students he supports. Ramses takes the initiative to connect our College Steps students to a wide variety of campus activities. As a member of the CCM Student Government Association as well as the Math and Chess clubs, he makes sure we know about all the most exciting events coming up, and is there to help students fully participate. We are deeply grateful to have him on our team and thrilled that Ramses will be returning to work with us for the fall '24 semester!
