More about Peer
Mentors

Peer mentors receive comprehensive training and ongoing supervision by College Steps Program Coordinators. You’ll learn to provide appropriate academic and social supports both in and out of the classroom, with techniques for virtual and in-person environments.
Serving as a peer mentor provides lasting educational impact while training you for the next generation of helping professions. You’ll gain real-world experience in support services as a paid College Steps employee during your undergraduate studies.

As an enrolled undergraduate at a partnering college, you’ll bridge College Steps students to campus resources while supporting their academic and social integration. You work directly on your own campus to create natural connections and belonging.
