VIRTUAL ACADEMY Information
The College Steps Virtual Summer Academy offers students valuable support and guidance from highly qualified Support Specialists who are part of our current campus programs.
Participants will have access to relevant College Steps Curriculum resources, with Support Specialists leading student groups through engaging, topic-focused sessions.
The academy provides exciting opportunities for social connection through group sessions, allowing students from different campuses to interact and learn together.
Additionally, virtual sessions will keep students engaged and help them develop key skills over the summer.
To ensure a high-quality experience, a dedicated College Steps Instructional Coordinator will oversee the program, supporting session quality, student participation, and troubleshooting any challenges that arise.
VIRTUAL SUMMER ACADEMY OFFERINGS
Virtual Summer Academy 2026
College Steps will offer three sessions during the Virtual Summer Academy 2026.
Students may opt to attend one, two, or all three sessions.
Session Dates: July 6 – July 24, 2026
Session Times: all sessions run Monday-Thursday in EDT
Session 1 at 10:00 am – 11:15 am
Session 2 at 11:30 am – 12:45 pm
Session 3 at 1:45 pm – 3:00 pm
Session 1: Academics
This three-week virtual session is designed to equip students with the tools and strategies needed to transition successfully into college life.
Through interactive sessions, participants will learn how to navigate academic expectations, utilize campus resources, and build effective self-advocacy and organizational skills.
Topics include managing time and tasks, developing study habits, and communicating effectively with professors and peers. Dedicated facilitators are available throughout the session to provide additional guidance and encouragement.
Session 2: Social
This three-week virtual session is designed to help students build and enhance essential social skills for academic and personal success.
Through interactive online sessions, participants will explore topics such as effective communication, building relationships, and navigating group dynamics. Participants will engage in guided discussions and collaborative exercises tailored to their unique strengths and challenges.
Dedicated facilitators are available throughout the session to provide additional guidance and encouragement.Â
Session 3: Executive Functioning
This 3-week virtual session helps students strengthen the executive functioning skills needed to succeed in college.
Students will learn practical strategies for planning, organizing, managing time, staying focused, and breaking down long-term projects. Through guided activities, checklists, and personal planning tools, students will leave with concrete systems to support their academic and personal success.

One Session: $2,000
Enroll for a singular session.
Two or More Sessions: $1,500 per session
Enroll in two or more sessions and receive $500 off each session.

- Program Oversight from a College Steps Instructional Coordinator. Our highly qualified full-time Instructional Coordinator team will be available to help support session quality, student participation, and assist with troubleshooting difficulties that may arise.

COMING SOON: STUDENT DIRECTED OFFERINGS
This self-paced module helps first-year students develop the skills and systems needed for a strong start in college. Across five focused units, students explore college expectations, time management and executive functioning, communication and self-advocacy skills, social navigation, and stress management.
Through activities and practical planning tools, students create personalized strategies to confidently manage their academics and daily responsibilities.
